Be Grateful - Greatest Way To Attract Happiness

Be grateful to God and be grateful to all His children. God’s blessings are countless. Just think of our sense of sight, hearing, touch, smell. Think about our health, wealth, family, kids, parents and friends. To show true gratitude to God is to always remember Him.

Remembering Him means that He is a part of our thoughts, words, and deeds.

 

There is a beautiful story, that I always think of when it comes to God blessings.

“Prophet Muhammad once told the story of a worshipper who lived in isolation for 1000 years, just worshipping Allah. When this man died, Allah ordered the angels to take him to Heaven by the Mercy of Allah. The man disagreed, stating that he should go to Heaven as a result of his own work, his 1000 years of worship. Allah then ordered His angels to settle the man’s account. The angels put the worshipper’s work on one scale of the balance and on the other they started by putting the blessing of eyesight. The scale carrying only the eyesight blessing was much heavier. The man then shouted, ‘By your mercy, O Allah, by your mercy!’ Allah replied, ‘Take my servant to Heaven by my mercy.’”

I Am with You… WHEN YOU ARE GRIPPED BY FEAR!!!

"God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear, though the earth gives way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though the waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.” This note brings back memories and deep feelings. Times when you have to deal with issues that you haven’t even thought about until then. This note had always been the anchor of my soul. I do experience God when I say these words. He was a very, very present help in my time of trouble. I sensed His presence in extraordinary ways. He was available – right there. He was even a source of unexpected joy that somehow made its way into one of the worst times of my life, bringing a sense of confidence that no matter what, even in the face of death – God can reveal himself.

What do we mean by fear? Fear covers a range of emotions like timidity, apprehension, terror, dread. Some of us are gripped by fear when we think about our loved ones; for others, it’s when we think about the future. Maybe you struggle with panic attacks and no one knows it. Maybe you hate crowds and are overwhelmed by fear in public places. You may be fearful of loneliness; so when everyone leaves, you keep the television on for company. You may have financial fears or job fears. You may have fears about aging parents, or about your kids and how they’re going to turn out, and who they’re running around with. You may have fears how you’ll pay the bills. You may have fears about retirement and about where you’re going to live and if you can continue to afford your lifestyle. There’s no shortage of things that can grip our hearts with fear.

When people came to me for a solution. I did what I expect you would do in that situation. I prayed, “God, what to do I say? I don’t have any resources that can help them, but I know you do. What could you give me that I could give to them?” I didn’t want to give them just words; I wanted to bring them something that would allow them to experience God. I saw Bible and I sat on the edge of the bed and I opened up Bible and I opened up psalm 46. Psalm 46 is a song of hope and confidence.

God wants you to know that He is for you. He is on your side. He is not waiting for you to mess up. Ask God to help you; apply what God says to your own heart and mind.

God Is Our Refuge!!

Look at Who’s Following You!

The word “follow” means “pursue”. God is actually pursuing you with his love and goodness. But if you unconsciously look at life through the grid of CNN’s, Fox Network’s, CBS’s nightly news, you could get the impression that the world is a bad, bad, bad place. If you listen to them too much, you might begin looking over your shoulder to make sure nothing evil sneaks up on you.

While it is true that we live in an imperfect world, our lives are watched over by a good God who makes sure that goodness and love and mercy will follow us every day of our  life. The word “goodness” means “unconditional love”. Mercy is a word that refers to God’s steadfast loyal, and covenant commitment to you that never stops. God’s mercy doesn’t lag behind you, it follows you. How long? All the days of your life.

God always promises an abundant life now and forever. “Abundant life”, doesn’t that ring a bell? The word means “spilling, overflowing”. It doesn’t necessarily mean that you’re going to drive fancy cars, have a great house, and never have a problem. It means you’re going to overflow from the inside-out, having more than enough to get you through whatever you have to go through because God is with you. It can be rich, it can be deep, it can be powerful, it can be wonderful and it can be that, regardless of what dark valleys you have to go through along the way.

Have an abundant life – here and hereafter.
